“In Kenya, men and young people remain disproportionately affected by TB, yet they face unique barriers to care. Evidence shows that men are less likely to be screened and often have poorer treatment outcomes, while adolescents and young adults experience delays in diagnosis, treatment interruptions, and psychosocial challenges. To bridge these gaps, we must strengthen person-centered, rights-based, and gender-responsive approaches, through flexible clinic hours, male-friendly services, stigma reduction campaigns, and community-driven solutions, so that TB and lung health care in Kenya truly leaves no one behind.” - Dr Brenda Mungai
