Birth is not just a medical event, it’s a human experience 🤍

This , we celebrate the role of a doula, the steady presence that supports you emotionally, physically, and mentally through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Because having someone in your corner can mean:
- Feeling heard
- Feeling prepared
- Feeling supported every step of the way

At Nurturing Mums, we believe no mother should walk this journey alone.

Would you consider having a doula on your journey?

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the womb, causing pain, heavy periods, fertility challenges, and often years of misdiagnosis. For many women, it’s more than “just bad cramps”… it’s a daily battle that deserves to be seen, heard, and taken seriously.

So how can we advocate for better care?
✨ Listen and believe women when they speak about their pain
✨ Encourage early check-ups and proper diagnosis
✨ Support policies and conversations that prioritize women’s health
✨ Share information to break the silence and stigma

Together, we can push for timely diagnosis, compassionate care, and better treatment options.

Every woman deserves to be heard. 💛

Many new moms are told that drinking cold water can “shock” the uterus or affect milk supply. But the truth is, your body simply needs hydration, whether the water is cold or warm.

Avoiding water after birth can actually lead to dehydration, which may affect milk supply and increase the risk of issues like UTIs or constipation.

Listen to your body, stay hydrated, and remember: caring for yourself is part of caring for your baby. 🤍

That awkward moment when someone thinks your bump is public property… 😅

Pregnancy doesn’t cancel personal boundaries. A baby bump may be exciting, but it’s still your body, and it’s always okay to say no to unwanted touches.

A little reminder:
Always ask before touching a pregnant mum’s bump.

Mums, have you ever experienced this? Tell us in the comments. 👇🏽

Today, Ciru Ciera of Nurturing Mums attended the 2nd Primary Health Care Congress at the Northlands Campus of Amref International University, Nairobi (AMIU).

As an IBCLC Lactation Consultant and Nurse Midwife, she contributed a frontline perspective on how early feeding support happens in real clinical settings, the challenges, the gaps, and the opportunities to better protect, promote, and support breastfeeding.

Grateful to bring real experiences from working with mothers and newborns into this important primary healthcare conversation.
