🌍World Lymphedema Day – March 6

Lymphedema is a chronic condition that affects millions worldwide, causing swelling, discomfort, and reduced mobility due to lymphatic system dysfunction. As physiotherapists, we play a crucial role in managing, preventing, and improving the quality of life for individuals living with lymphedema.

💡 Did You Know?

- Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) helps stimulate lymph flow and reduce swelling.
- Exercise Therapy improves circulation, muscle activation, and lymphatic function.
- Compression Therapy supports fluid movement and prevents further buildup.
- Education & Lifestyle Modifications empower patients to manage symptoms effectively.

🚀 Movement is Medicine! Staying active with safe, guided exercises can make a world of difference. If you or a loved one is dealing with lymphedema, consult our specialist cancer physiotherapist - Riya Shah to create a personalised care plan.

FASCIA Training with Developed by South African Physical Therapist Douglas Heel, Be Activated uses a system of reflexes throughout the body that wakes up muscles. Once muscles are awake, they can function at their maximum potential in strength, power, endurance, and flexibility. Applications for Be Activated range from improved sports performance, to great gains in training. It is also used to release tight structures throughout the body that are causing pain and dysfunction.
