Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has signed a partnership with Kenya Airways (KQ) through its healthcare division KQ Health, to enhance medical travel for patients across Africa.

The collaboration brings together Kenya Airways' regional flight network and AKUH's advanced medical expertise to create a coordinated system for patients seeking treatment in Kenya. The goal is to position the Kenya as a leading destination for quality healthcare within the continent.

Under the agreement, KQ Health will provide end-to-end logistical support for patients, including medical clearances before travel, in-flight medical assistance, and direct ambulance transfers from the airport to Aga Khan University Hospital. AKUH will receive and treat patients in key specialties such as oncology, cardiology, surgery, and critical care.

Our Prenatal Screening of Congenital Cardiac Disease course is designed to strengthen participants’ fetal cardiac imaging skills by improving their imaging techniques and enabling them to identify and distinguish between normal and abnormal cardiac features. The costs are KES 3,000 for the physical session and KES 2,000 for the virtual session.

The course is open to sonographers, residents, radiologists, obstetricians providing routine fetal anomaly services, as well as trainees in fetal medicine, paediatric cardiology, obstetric ultrasound, and advanced sonography.
