As a multidisciplinary team at APDK Nairobi Clinic, we shared our relationship, our strategies, and our shared commitment to treatment intervention that truly meets each individual where they are.

Grateful for the partnership with 100% for Børnene , Ramboll Foundation, and CISU - Civilsamfund i Udvikling in making this possible.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women and girls everywhere, especially women and girls with disabilities who continue to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and lead change in their communities.

At Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK), we remain committed to advancing inclusion, equal opportunities, and the full participation of women with disabilities in all aspects of society.

When women rise, communities thrive.
When women with disabilities are included, everyone moves forward.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Our Story

APDK is charitable NGO in Kenya established in 1958 to improve the life of Persons with Disabilities through strengthening rehabilitation services, empowering and promoting inclusion of persons with disabilities(pwd).

Our Vision as APDK is to promote an inclusive society where persons with disabilities have equal rights and have access to rehabilitation services.

APDK services are modeled through 3-tier service provision; outreach plus, community based rehabilitation and institutionalized rehabilitation. Our services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Club Foot Management, Surgical Invention, promoting inclusion of pwd for employment in the private sector.

Through the Orthopedic Technology we fabricate crutches, calipers, surgical boots, inner soles, appropriate wheelchairs, tricycles and special seating; wheelchair services are aligned to the WHO Guidelines.
