Garden Specialist Hospital (GSH) is founded on the vision of providing specialist surgical care to its population of patients and customers . With approximately 90% of all surgical cases in Nairobi being performed at a day or ambulatory care setting, GSH provides 24 hour services across a range of surgical specialties. The founding team has representation from 18 surgical specialities including general, laparoscopy, breast, urology, orthopaedic , trauma, obstetric and gynaecology, maxillofacial, ENT, plastic and reconstructive surgery with the additional support of a radiologist, pathologist and anesthetist. Members of our founding team are affiliated to the leading hospitals in Nairobi including public and private ones, as well as the private and public teaching hospitals in Kenya.They also run their private practices within walking distance of GSH, and thus assuring GSH clients’ of their accessibility and ability to swift deliver surgical care. GSH is located on Ralph Bunche road, which is within the upper hill hospital market cluster comprising of Nairobi Hospital, Upper Hill Medical Center, Kenyatta National Hospital, KMA Doctors Plaza, 5th Ngong Avenue Suites and among others, which makes it convenient for walk-in patients and others seeking specialist care. By bringing in the skills and capabilities from the various specialties, the founding team is able to pool the fundraising effort, share their domain knowledge in a multi-disciplinary setting while reducing the cost of care and time to theater for the patients. Importantly, the surgical disciplines share the theatre infrastructure, thus achieving high efficiency and utilization rates.
