Madaktari Mobile Initiative is a Kenyan not-for-profit Organization that seeks to promote the reproductive health and well-being of poor women and children in hard-to-reach areas of Kenya through mobile health clinics. Founded in 2010, we aim to be at the forefront of maternal health, new-born health, reproductive health, and family planning services among the under-privileged and marginalized communities.

First day of our Medical Mission in the Tana Delta. Got off to a shaky start but proceeded well. Visited the villages of Didewaride and Tarasa. Thanks so much to all partners, and especially the DUMA group for the tremendous financial support. Tommorrow we are in Witu and Ongonyo..

Tana Delta medical response: After days of hard-planning and resource mobilization, we are finally set to leave for Tana Delta on Sunday for a series of medical camps for the victims of the Tana clashes..many thanks to all those involved in the planning - Ladnan Hospital, Gender Violence Recovery Center, Coalition on Violence Against Women, and Nairobi Women's Hospital.

Belated news - We lost one of our biggest supporters, Dr. Lawrence Chebet, Chief of Party of USAID-APHIA plus kamili project. And it couldn't have come at a worse time - just as we were about to sign a one year contract for reproductive health services in Lower Eastern Kenya. May his soul rest in eternal peace
