🌸 Understanding the Menstrual Cycle 🌸

At IRYS Medical Center, we believe in empowering women with knowledge about their bodies. Here's a simplified breakdown of the menstrual cycle:

🩸 Menstruation (Days 1-7)
This is the phase where the uterine lining sheds, leading to your period. It typically lasts between 3-7 days.

🌱 Follicular Phase (Days 8-17)
Post-menstruation, the body prepares for potential pregnancy. During this phase, follicles in the ovaries mature, and the uterine lining thickens. Ovulation occurs around Day 14, where an egg is released.

🌼 Ovulation (Day 12-17)
This is the most fertile phase. An egg is released from the o***y and is available for fertilization. This phase usually lasts about 24 hours.

🌞 Luteal Phase (Days 18-28)
If the egg is not fertilized, the body prepares to shed the uterine lining, leading to menstruation. This phase is marked by increased progesterone levels.
