Hepatitis A: a viral infection affecting the liver. It spreads easily in group settings like schools, especially where sanitation is a concern.

The Hepatitis A vaccine (recommended for children 12 months and older) helps protect your child in those everyday moments you can’t control once they are inside the school gate. To get the vaccine, walk into your nearest AAR Healthcare Outpatient Center. 😊

For school-going kids, your Back-to-School conversation should include vaccinations like:

1. Meningitis vaccine (11–18 yrs): Protects against meningococcal meningitis, a serious infection of the lining around the brain and spinal cord. School-going adolescents and teens are particularly at risk due to close contact.

2. HPV vaccine (10–14 yrs): The Human Papillomavirus vaccine protects against HPV-related cancers (cervical cancer in girls, throat and ge***al cancers in both genders). It is administered before exposure, making school-age vaccination critical.

Walk into your nearest AAR Healthcare Outpatient Centre to get your child vaccinated. 😊

Feeling constantly tired is often dismissed as work stress or lack of rest. However, as highlighted in a Daily Nation article, persistent fatigue that does not improve with sleep or downtime can be an early sign of underlying health conditions that require medical evaluation.

In the article, Dr Ann Wachira, a medical doctor and public health specialist at AAR Healthcare, explains how prolonged tiredness may be linked to conditions such as hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, chronic infections, or lifestyle-related illnesses, reinforcing the importance of listening to your body and seeking timely medical advice.

We believe informed patients make empowered health decisions. Creating awareness around early warning signs like persistent fatigue is key to prevention, early diagnosis, and better long-term health outcomes.
