Privileged to be part of an Alcohol Anonymous group. On Saturday we talked about how at times we use alcohol as a coping mechanism which eventually becomes distractive. To some alcohol is what helps them deal with the hardships of the world. Something that started as a good thing becomes distractive because we never get to process the underlying problem. As long as we try to recover from addiction without facing the problem we are escaping we will always reverse to our old ways. This is where therapy comes in. It helps individual not only process their underlying struggles but also learn better coping skills.

I take this moment to appreciate everyone who is taking part in being part of the solution. A step in the right direction will never be a waste of time.

Maternal mental health concerns can stem from a variety of factors, including hormonal changes during pregnancy and postpartum, stress related to childbirth and parenting, lack of social support, previous mental health issues, financial stress, relationship problems, and traumatic birth experiences.
