𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘

PID stands for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. It's also known as Pelvic Infection.

These pelvic infections come from bacteria 🦠 that's is from Sexually transmitted infections(STIs)

These bacteria travel from the va**na to the uterus, upto to the fallopian tubes and other times to the ovaries.

It's good to note that sometimes the PID will not be caused by STI, but the normal bacteria in the va**na, an example is vaginitis bacteria.

The PID usually cause abnormal tissue growth and fluid which usually cause tubes blockage (also known tubal occlusion). Fallopian tubes can be blocked in three places:
• Proximal: Near the uterus.

•Medial: In the middle of the tube.

•Distal: At the end of the tube, near the fimbrea.(near the ovaries)
