Practising Medicine without the Medical Laboratory is Witchcraft. We are in the era of Evidence-based Medicine! We are the 'Criminal Investigation Department' (CID), 'FBI' & 'NYPD'of Human Medicine.

We provide legitimate & Quality medical evidence in form of Laboratory test results. We interrogate suspect causal agents. We cross-examine witnesses (microorganisms) with our scientific expertise.

We obtain & scrutinise every corroborative Bacteriological, Virological, Parasitologic, Mycological and submitting it to the Medical Doctors /Clinical Officers for giving their verdict (Medical Intervention -meds, surgery, etc.)

We are the building pillars of that verdict. Any Medical judgement passed to the patient is founded from the office of The Medical Laboratory Scientist! They, Medical Doctors & Clinical Officers, now understand the crucial role the office of The Medical Laboratory Scientists played in their successful treatment & management of OUR patients. !

Fellow Comrades, ladies and gentlemen, as your chairman , allow me to register my gratitude to God the Almighty and to you my deep indebted love part of the family of KENYA MLOs.

On 15th October, 2015 when we first met in Nairobi at Eureka Hotel to formulate the common way to realise the Union, things looked bleak, requirements for registration were long shots because the KNUMLO account had zero shillings in the face of almost 100k that was necessary for these requirements but my team comprising of dedicated personalities; Enock, Randa, Gerry, Chris, Dorothy, Kobia, Sakwa, Mutai, Claudette among others braved the uncertain road, yet the reality at the time.

Today as Kisii county posts their latest collection (11k) on top of their 12k earlier(25th Dec) sent, making KNUMLO SERVICES ACCOUNT to read 213k, for me its a miracle and surely this is God's Hand.

I take this opportunity therefore to thank all the MLOs in the republic of Kenya, the leadership of KNUMLO from National, branches(Counties) and Subbranches(sub counties) for the UNITY OF PURPOSE that I have seen. God bless you.

I must say that after meeting all the requirements, we began the building of this account from 6th of Dec.2016 from about 7k to today's 2013k, meaning we were able to mobilize over 200k in one month.
Comrades this is aclear indication that our target of 400k is within reach.

213k seemply means 213 MLOs across the republic if each gave 1k as we agreed here. We are over 3k and if all of us joined the bullfight, we are capable of raising even up to 2.5m by end of January. So I want to appeal that we keep the faith but with action. Moral as well as financial contribution.

To me the far we are going is nearer, and clearer because one year ago we were only 10 guys at Eureka and today we are all over the corners of this republic. The load is lighter today.

I salute you all, pray for you and give Glory to the Almighty. I had to physically appear before the Lord this morning in church to seek the divine intervention into our Resolution of 2017: UNION, UNION, UNION.

As we meet in Nairobi next Friday in Nairobi for the 2016 postmortem and 2017 strategic planning, I am convinced that the realisation of the Union is nearer than the Horizon.

I wish you all a blessed 2017, the year of independence of our people, our profession, in the republic of Kenya, to celebrate the birthday of KNUMLO.

They,Medical Doctors & Clinical Officers, may take all the credit, but they know the crucial role the office of The Medical Laboratory Scientist played in their successful treatment & management of OUR patient. It's high time we got recognized. We scored that 'A' just like them, some of us even stronger than theirs. We struggled to fight off sleep in the Library, just like them, some of us even much more than them. Everyone should stop acting as if Medical Doctors &Nurses are the only health professionals in our hospitals. Before you, Government, implement the CBA ,know that we are warming up too,FOR YOU! & #
