Self-compassion is the foundation for overcoming the fear of failure. Treating yourself with Kindness and Compassion is key. Extending Grace to yourself is not selfish, it is part of taking care of yourself in order to give others out of your overflow.

It also helps you to avoid developing resentment and bitterness towards others and self. Also, it helps you with avoiding to blame God because He is the one who said to love your neighbor.

Let us be mindful to check if we are using "information" to justify OLD NARRATIVES that keep us in Self-Loathing or Self-Obssession.

Barriers to Self-Compassion:

Negative Self-Talk - "you will never make it." "Nothing works for you." "You are stupid." Some times we convince ourselves that we are being REALISTIC. Yes, I agree, you calling it as it is. However, you forget that even if you failed here, you also succeeded over there.

If we are going to be fair, then let's be realistic all round.

Yea??

The psychology of money is the study of our behavior with money.

This evening I will give a presentation on how our money habits are influenced by our family of origin experiences.

If you grew up hearing "hakuna pesa" (there's no money) how do you suppose this statement influenced your view and relationship with money?

If you started off as a "rich family" and then your dad lost all his money and you had to move from urban to rural, what would be the beliefs and attitudes you developed about money?

If you were raised with all your money needs met and never had to worry about money, how does thst influence your relationship with money?

Also, how does your personality influence your money mindset and language?

Share your experiences. Mine in the comments.

Money as a source of security & stability
Money as a source of status
Money as a source of freedom
Money as a source of control.

This coming Saturday (Sep 28th), together with my colleague Victoria Kedemi, we embark on a journey to empower parents who are separated / divorced as they raise their children while apart.

Peaceful, cordial co-parenting has been a challenge for many parents and in the recent past has become one of the most requested skillset in my practice.

Being able to differentiate between personal issues and parenting issues is important in raising children while living apart.

Starting this Saturday, we will have 4 online sessions to guide you on how to co-parent successfully, guarding your emotional and mental wellbeing as well as that of your child(ren).

The 4 classes are at a friendly cost of Ksh 5,000 per person, payable to our Till number 857 349.
