Yesterday, we came together for a memorable World Psoriasis Day event under the theme ‘Family’ – celebrating the incredible support system that stands with us every step of the way. ❤️

We were thrilled to see so many members, their families, and friends join us, making it a truly heartfelt occasion. Stories were shared, gratitude was expressed, and together we honored the family and friends who’ve been our pillars of strength through the challenges of living with psoriasis.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made this day so special..

We had the incredible honor of presenting on stage at the IFPA Conference member meeting as the Psoriasis Association of Kenya. We shared the impactful work we are doing, highlighted our upcoming projects, and paid tribute to our late founder, chairman and IFPA president whose vision and dedication continue to inspire us to keep his works and legacy alive.

Our journey in advocating for psoriasis awareness and support in Kenya has been challenging but rewarding in various ways.

We say a big Thank you to the IFPA community for providing this platform to amplify our efforts.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our Chairman and beloved Doctor, Dr. Waweru Hosea.

Dr. Waweru was not only a dedicated leader but also a compassionate and skilled dermatologist who touched the lives of many. His contributions to our group and the broader psoriasis community were immense, and his absence will be deeply felt.

We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please join us in remembering and honoring his remarkable legacy.

They say that If you’re not having fun, you’re doing something wrong…. we spent the last hour playing a game of Kenya at 50 and had so much fun while at it.

Hello fellow warriors :

Many people have diabetes, heart, liver and kidney problems but they are internal and therefore not visible. Skin is a visible organ so our disease is visibly noticed by everyone. Whether you like it or not, this is the only difference between us and others.
To deal with depression one of the doctors advised me to not look in the mirror more than once in a day. Instead of becoming tense, I take medicine on time, have a good exercise regime with healthy foods daily.
When I used to think only about my skin disease, I was sad. But when I convinced myself that this disease is a very minor part of my life, I got back to my feet and started enjoying my life. I don't get upset if anyone points out at my skin spots and asks me what is this "I have a skin disease called psoriasis" that's it.
I have so many good friends who inspire me, take good care of me and just be with me whenever required. There are so many people who are not really bothered about how my skin has damaged my looks. Khainza Paul
