Our Story
Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) is a state corporation under the Ministry of Health established under the KEMSA Act 2013, whose mandate is to Procure, warehouse and distribute drugs and medical supplies for prescribed public health programs, the national strategic stock reserve, prescribed essential health packages and national referral hospitals.
The Authority operates on a not for profit self sustaining business model in meeting the dynamic needs of the counties. It utilises its economies of scale to procure Health Products and Technologies in bulk and transfers the cost benefits to the counties.
KEMSA continues to reinvent itself by leveraging on technology to better serve the counties on a demand driven basis.
We remain committed to provide quality, affordable and reliable health products and services.
