Prevent deaths. Prevent further injuries. Prepare the next generation. -Dr. Ahmed Idris KRCS Secretary General-

A powerful call to action shared by the Kenya Red Cross Secretary General during today’s Regional Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) Training, emphasizing the shared responsibility of National Societies and governments in strengthening lifesaving systems across Africa.

By prioritizing PHEC in policy frameworks, investing in capacity building, and mentoring the next generation of responders, we can ensure that these essential skills continue to save lives long after the training ends.

At KRCS and KRCTI, we remain committed to building a continent that is prepared, skilled, and resilient where every responder is empowered to act when it matters most.

The Kenya Red Cross Society, in partnership with the German Red Cross and the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute (KRCTI), has today hosted the first Regional Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) Training for Africa.

Participants from 9 National Societies came together to strengthen their emergency response skills, share experiences, and build a united, resilient Africa one prepared to act when every second counts.

This is just the beginning of stronger responders, empowered communities, and a continent ready for any emergency.
