What can we do to prepare for the Coronavirus in Africa?

With test kits, masks and ventilators being in high demand and short supply these days it is very important for health authorities to look into unorthodox ways to meet that demand.

Here is a guideline on how to create masks and 3D print the valve to connect them to the ventilator.

Testing is very important to maintain an overview of the spread but testing kits are very hard to come by. In some cases it has been possible to use test kits originally intended for other purposes, even from fish farming. The quality isn’t the same but now is the time to do the research to see what resources can be used.

If you have more ideas please share them belove. Please remember that every solution has to be tried and tested by professional medical personnel before being applied to a patient. Using the wrong equipment, applying it in the wrong way or going against the advice of medical professionals can be fatal and put others at risk.
