HSDPF - guided by a multi-disciplinary consortium of: health, nutrition, agriculture, water, food and financial service actors, as well as academia and development partners - aims to ensure that all citizens access quality healthcare and social determinants of health, coupled with well-trained and qualified professional health workers who apply a one-health approach that would call for an all-of-Government effort towards: human, animal, crop and environmental health, as defined in the Global Health Security Agenda.
In addition, HSDPF serves as a knowledge and resource exchange platform to local health sector stakeholders (with especial focus on sub-national actors - private and public) and development partners in the health sector. HSDPF’s long-term view is to build local capacity and forge new, as well as strengthen existing, partnerships. The broad-based forum’s objective is to align participant development partner inputs and desired impacts, with county level healthcare stakeholders activities, outputs and outcomes through HSDPF fostered cohesive and coherent health systems strengthening, resource mobilisation and development partner support.
The 3rd HSDPF brings together bilateral and multi-lateral development partners and development finance institutions as well as leaders in the health sector, both public and private, in three full days of plenary, technical, breakout and poster sessions under the theme “Sustainable partnerships for domestic health system financing in devolution.”
