Many women get worried when they notice a painful lump or swelling in their private area.

Boils in the ge***al area are actually quite common.

But what really causes them?

Let's break them down 👇
1. Bacterial infection (Staphylococcus aureus): This is the most common cause and this bacteria enters through tiny cuts, shaving wounds, or skin irritation.

2. Ingrown hairs: Shaving or waxing the p***c area can cause hair to grow back into the skin, leading to inflammation and boil formation.

3. Poor hygiene or excessive sweating: Moisture and heat in the ge***al region create the perfect environment for bacteria.

4. Blocked sweat or oil glands: When sweat glands are clogged, infection can set in.

5. Weak immune system or underlying illness (like diabetes): This makes it easier for infections to develop.

6. Tight clothing: Friction and irritation from very tight underwear or trousers can trigger boils.

*Ever wondered why your fibroids seem to get bigger after every test or scan you conduct?*

These are the causes:
1) *Hormone-Disrupting Foods*
Some foods particularly those high in added sugars and unhealthy fats, may lead to weight gain and hormonal imbalances which do contribute to fibroid growth.
Processed foods, Red Meat and Sugary beverages fall into this category.

2) *Alcohol and Caffeine*
Excessive alcohol and caffeine consumption can potentially disrupt hormone balance and increase fibroid growth.

Fibroids are not just a personal matter, because their effects are rarely only felt by the woman experiencing symptoms.

Missed milestones, interrupted careers, strained relationships…entire communities feel the ripple effect when fibroid symptoms are ignored.

That’s why awareness and support are so important in this fight. We’re working to create a world where women with fibroids are seen, heard and care for, and where communities rally around them instead of leaving them to suffer in silence.

Uterine fibroids can increase the risk of preterm labor and birth, with risks escalating with the number and size of fibroids. The presence of fibroids can lead to complications such as preterm rupture of the membranes, placental abruption, and potentially trigger an inflammatory response within the uterus that initiates labor prematurely.

Uterine fibroids significantly impact mental health, contributing to higher rates of depression, anxiety, and reduced quality of life due to chronic pain and other symptoms. The physical burden of fibroids, such as pelvic pain and heavy bleeding, creates psychological stress, and studies show a strong association between fibroids and mood disorders, particularly in symptomatic women. Addressing mental health through strategies like stress management, therapy, and patient-centered care, along with treating fibroids, can help improve overall well-being for affected individuals.

WHAT IS OVULATION?
Ovulation is the release of a mature egg from one of a woman's ovaries, usually once per menstrual cycle. It’s the most fertile time, when a woman is most likely to become pregnant.

WHEN DOES OVULATION HAPPEN?
- In a typical 28-day cycle, ovulation usually occurs around day 14.
- In your case (26-day cycle), it likely happens around day 12.
- S***m can live up to 5 days, and the egg survives about 12–24 hours after release.

SIGNS OF OVULATION:
✅ Clear, stretchy cervical mucus (like raw egg white)
✅ Slight rise in body temperature
✅ Mild pelvic or lower abdominal pain (mittelschmerz)
✅ Increased s*x drive
✅ Breast tenderness

OVULATION AND PREGNANCY
- If s***m is present during ovulation, fertilization can occur.
- Tracking ovulation helps in family planning or avoiding unwanted pregnancy.
