To prevent this, all pregnant women in Malaria endemic should sleep under an insecticide-treated bednet (ITN). In areas of stable transmission of falciparum malaria, all pregnant women should be given intermittent preventive treatment (IPT). Pregnant women suspected of having malaria should be assessed and treated in accordance with national protocols.
