👉 Pickles are vegetables (like cucumbers, carrots, or even mangoes) soaked in a salty or vinegary solution to preserve them. This process is called pickling! 🫙✨

🥣 How to Make Pickles at Home:

1. Choose your veggies (cucumbers, carrots, etc.)

2. Add them to a clean jar.

3. Mix water, vinegar, and salt. Add garlic, chili, or herbs if you like!

4. Pour the mixture into the jar.

5. Let it sit for a few days to a week and there you have your pickles

If you’ve never had kimchi before—you're missing out! It’s a super flavorful dish made from fermented cabbage, mixed with garlic, ginger, chili flakes, and a few other goodies.

💡 Think: crunchy, tangy, spicy, and packed with flavor!

👩‍🍳 How to make it

It starts with salting the cabbage to soften it up, then mixing it with a spicy paste made of garlic, ginger, chili flakes, sauce and green onions.
It all gets packed into a jar and left to ferment—first at room temp, then in the fridge. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavor gets!

It is a shredded purple or green cabbage that has been fermented with salt for 1-4 weeks.

Some people like adding carrots to the cabbage.

The salt draws out moisture creating a salty brine.

During fermentation the cabbage produces lactic acid which gives it a sour and tart taste.

It becomes slightly crunchy and is also enriched with probiotics which improve your gut health and build your immunity.

The sauerkraut is mostly used as a side dish , I like taking mine with avocado.
