It's that time of the year!!!

We're raising funds to provide period kit (a 6-month supply of sanitary pads, underwear, and a snack) to 70 teenage girls and young mothers. These kits will be distributed at a special community event.

This project is close to my heart. I grew up experiencing period poverty, and for the past 4 years, my family and I have been giving back through pad donations, food drives, and free weekly yoga for underserved communities.

💫 No girl should miss out on life because of her period.

Session 5 Recap: Finding Your Voice Through Expression

In this session, we tackled the complex feelings that arise from protests and standing up for what we believe in. We used a voice exercise to declare, “What do I stand for?” and then
moved through a yoga practice to cope with the intensity of emotions surrounding protests. It was a powerful way to channel energy and find calm amidst the chaos.

What do you stand for? How are you coping with the emotions that arise in challenging times? Share in the comments

Session 4 Recap: Finding Your Voice Through Expression

This session’s theme was “Safe Spaces” and we explored what that looks and feels like using clay to create art. By moulding clay, we expressed ourselves in a safe and supportive
environment. Afterwards, we moved through a calming yoga practice to ground and integrate the experience.

If you’d like to SUPPORT our community, donations are welcomed through the LINK in our bio.

Session 3 Recap: Finding Your Voice Through Expression

In our third session, we dove deep into the stories we tell ourselves, the negative assumptions that hold us back. Through powerful yoga practice and storytelling, we reflected on the narratives that don’t serve us. Together, we rewrote the story of the real us, the future us, and then shared our new truths with a partner. It was truly empowering to embrace our
positive, authentic selves.

Session 2 Recap: Finding Your Voice Through Expression

This session was an incredible journey of creativity and connection! offered the group a unique experience, a shared art project where everyone had the chance to express
themselves. With one big sheet of paper, we came together to draw what we were feeling in the moment. It was powerful to see how art can help us connect not just with ourselves but
with others, as we explored how we take up space when working together.

This group is all about discovering the balance between self-expression and mindfulness. We’re learning how to notice ourselves, both in art and in the yoga class—how we move,
breathe, and occupy space.

If you’d like to support our growing yoga community, we invite you to donate using the LINK in our BIO. Every little bit helps us continue offering these transformative experiences to
teeneagers and young mothers in Kariobangi.
