Seeing your new leaves turn yellow while the veins remain stubbornly green?

This is a classic sign of iron chlorosis, an iron deficiency that stops your plants from producing chlorophyll. It weakens the plant and can drastically reduce your yield and fruit quality.

Symptoms:

Starts on the newest leaves at the top of the plant.

This is also interveinal chlorosis, but on new growth. The symptoms are often very sharp, with dark green veins and bright yellow tissue between them. In severe cases, the new leaves can emerge almost completely white.

The older leaves at the bottom will remain green (as the plant cannot move iron from them), while the new growth looks sick.

ATTENTION PAPAYA FARMERS!

Are you seeing small, dark "freckles" on your green papayas? Are you devastated when those same freckles explode into large, sunken, watery rot after you harvest?

1. CULTURAL PRACTICES (Your Foundation)

Frequency: Repeat the application every 10 days during high-pressure (wet) periods.
