This technical brief shares findings from a study that developed simple, easy-to-use allometric equations to estimate carbon storage in fruit trees.

By understanding their trees’ carbon value, farmers can access climate finance, negotiate fair payments, and participate more equitably in carbon markets, while safeguarding food security and livelihoods.

🌿 Day 2 of the CIFOR-ICRAF Documentary: Quality Tree Seed Training! 🎥

What an exciting day in the field! Today, the CIFOR–ICRAF team joined us at our farmers’ farms to continue documenting the Quality Tree Seed training — and the energy was amazing! 🙌

Farmers were eager to learn as we demonstrated how to raise both avocado and indigenous trees, from seed propagation and planting all the way to management and fruit production. 🌱🥑🌳

We also had great discussions on the importance of agroforestry and organic farming — simple, sustainable practices that help restore our soils, improve biodiversity, and increase yields naturally. 💚

From weeding and pest control to pruning and mulching, it was all hands-on learning — and the excitement on the farmers’ faces said it all! 😊

A huge thank you to CIFOR-ICRAF for capturing these special moments and to our farmers for their dedication to building greener, more resilient landscapes. Together, we’re growing change — one seed at a time! 🌍✨

🏃‍♂️🌍 Running for Conservation — Restoring the Mau Forest Complex 🌳

FarmLife Health Services Ltd was honored to participate in the Mau Conservation Marathon, which kicked off in Keringet and concluded at Baringo Secondary School, Kuresoi North — a powerful run advocating for the restoration and protection of the Mau Forest Complex.

The marathon was flagged off by Dr. Eng. Festus K. Ng’eno, PS Environment & Patron of -ICLIP, together with PS Sports Elijah Mwangi, and world-renowned athletes Faith Kipyegon and Beatrice Chebet.

As a youth-led social enterprise, FarmLife is committed to restoring degraded landscapes, empowering farmers, and advancing climate action across the Mau region — our home. 💚
