🌍 Africa’s population is on the rise — and so is the demand for food.

Today, Africa is home to 1.4 billion people. In just 20 years, this number will grow past 2 billion — that’s an extra 2.5 million people every month who need to be fed. Each year, 30 million new consumers will join Africa’s food system. This scale of growth is unmatched anywhere else in the world — bringing both a challenge and a massive opportunity.

At FarmLife, we believe the future of Africa’s food security lies in climate-smart, sustainable agriculture. We empower farmers with access to inputs, finance through FarmLife Sacco Society Limited, and secure markets for their produce — ensuring that growth is not just about numbers, but about resilience, prosperity, and restoration. 🌱

The numbers are clear: Africa’s demand for food will double in the coming decades. We’re committed to turning this demand into a sustainable opportunity — for farmers, for communities, and for the planet. ✨

🌱 Greening the Mau-Summit Botanical Farm 🌍

Yesterday was a successful day as we planted over 10,000 trees — both indigenous and exotic — at the Botanical Farm in Mau-Summit.

This unique site is home to a wide range of indigenous medicinal trees, where roots, bark, and leaves are carefully nurtured and later processed into natural medicines that address many of today’s health challenges within our communities. 🌿💊

We were honored to be joined by key partners and stakeholders, including:
🌳 Kenya Forest Service (KFS)
🪖 Kenya Defence Forces (KDF)
🌍 Molo Constituency Forest Association
🏫 Jogoo Primary School
🤝 Community leaders & members

Together, we are restoring biodiversity, strengthening traditional knowledge, and greening our future.

Last week, FarmLife Health Services joined partners and communities in a tree-growing exercise at Source Marindas Water Catchment, Mau Forest Complex, Kuresoi North – Nakuru County.

The activity, led by PS Environment Eng. Festus Ng’eno, saw over 20,000 trees planted to safeguard this vital water catchment.

At FarmLife, we are working hand in hand with communities to:
🌳 Restore degraded farmlands and community lands
💧 Protect riparian ecosystems that secure water resources
🏫 Green schools and institutions to inspire the next generation

We are proud to contribute to the Mau Forest Complex Integrated Conservation and Livelihood Improvement Programme (MCF-ICLIP), in collaboration with TerraFund for AFR100.

Every seedling planted is a step towards reviving biodiversity, improving livelihoods, and building climate resilience for generations to come. 🌍💚

🌱 Milele FM Radio Breakfast Show
Today’s Milele FM breakfast show was nothing short of fantastic and energizing!

We connected directly with farmers and listeners from across the region, engaging in impactful conversations on agroforestry, community-led restoration, and environmental stewardship.
The response was overwhelming — listeners showed strong commitment to join the movement for sustainable farming, with many eager to learn and adopt beekeeping and avocado farming as part of restoration efforts to combat climate change.

We also amplified the incredible work of the World Resources Institute (WRI) in partnering with local communities and social enterprises like FarmLife under the initiative — creating real impact through tree planting, agroforestry, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our message rang loud and clear: restoring nature restores our future. 🌍💚

Yesterday was monumental! 🌳

We successfully delivered 30,000 assorted indigenous and exotic tree seedlings, and distributed over 20,000 seedlings to smallholder farmers in Masaita, Nyota Ward, Kuresoi North, Nakuru County.

The joy on their faces said it all—hope is being restored one seedling at a time. Through this effort, we reached 54+ households, empowering communities to take charge of local restoration.

We also took the opportunity to restore riparian zones, strengthening our commitment to environmental recovery.

Restore Local it is! 🌱

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing partners:
Kenya Forest Service, Isinya Roses, and Molo Constituency Forest Association , for joining us—this would not have been possible without your support.

Together, we’re not just planting trees—we’re planting hope for future generations. 💚

🌱 Delivering Impact: Seedling Distribution in Bomet & Nyamira Counties 🌱

Over the past two weeks, we’ve proudly supported smallholder farmers in Bomet and Nyamira Counties with high-quality avocado and coffee seedlings — boosting livelihoods and restoring degraded lands.

✅ 22,200 avocado seedlings delivered to Nyamira County
✅ 7,000 avocado seedlings and 13,000 coffee seedlings distributed in Bomet County
🚜 In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture under the SIVAP project

These efforts align with the Government of Kenya’s bold vision to plant 15 billion trees by 2032, contributing to a greener, food-secure, and climate-resilient future. 🌍

We are proud to be part of this movement — one seedling at a time. 🌳💚
