It was an honour to be the guest speaker at MSEC's parents AGM where I emphasized the need of mental health for parents.

Teenage parents face unique mental health challenges and are at higher risk for depression, anxiety, and other issues.

Support systems, access to resources, and positive coping mechanisms are crucial for their well-being and the health of their children.

Stress management techniques can help regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and promote a positive outlook and different cultures have unique ways of coping with stress and adversity. The two day session with parents and students at KE266 AIC EWASO CYDC presented an opportunity for the community to learn internal and external causes of stress, emotional, physical, cognitive responses to stress, how to manage it as well as self confidence.
