Try saying the color of the word, not the word itself:

This is called the Stroop Effect; when your brain’s reading pathway competes with your color-recognition pathway. 🧠⚡

It shows how tricky it is for our minds to override automatic habits.
That’s why breaking patterns (like negative self-talk or unhealthy coping) feels so hard at first.

But with practice, your brain can learn new pathways. 🌱✨

We all have a “window of tolerance” 🪟; the zone where we can think clearly, stay present, and cope with life’s stress.

✨ Too much stress pushes us above it (anxiety, overwhelm).
✨ Too little safety pushes us below it (numb, shut down).

Therapy and self-regulation tools (like grounding, breathing, movement, and safe connection) help widen your window over time. 🌿
