Valley Hospital was honoured to sponsor the Kenya Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (KOGS), South Rift Branch Annual Symposium, held on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, at the Midlands Hotel in Nakuru.
The event brought together a distinguished panel of speakers, practitioners, and stakeholders committed to advancing women’s health through collaboration, research, and innovation. The symposium provided an enriching platform for dialogue on emerging trends and best practices in obstetrics and gynaecology, with lively discussions on both clinical and policy-related matters.
Valley Hospital was privileged to contribute to the academic programme with two key presentations. The first was an audit on rational antibiotic use in obstetrics and gynaecology, which addressed the pressing issue of antimicrobial resistance and the critical need for antimicrobial stewardship in clinical settings. The second presentation showcased our Maternity and Newborn Unit (NBU), highlighting the systems, practices, and infrastructure we have put in place to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
We are deeply grateful to the KOGS South Rift Branch for organizing such a timely and impactful symposium. It was an excellent opportunity for Valley Hospital to reaffirm its commitment to clinical excellence, responsible care, and active participation in shaping the future of maternal and newborn health in the region.
