FREE OBSTETRIC & GYNECOLOGICAL SURGERY CAMP

This week, we performed our first-ever Choledochojejunostomy, a life-saving procedure for a middle-aged woman who had endured years of pain and complications due to a blocked bile duct.

The patient, a resilient woman in her 30s, faced persistent jaundice, abdominal discomfort, and digestive issues that worsened over time. Delayed access to advanced care, often due to financial constraints, meant her condition became life-threatening.

Thanks to the Social Health Insurance Act (SHA), which covered her medical expenses, we were able to step in and provide the care she urgently needed.

The surgery, which took 4 hours, required precision and teamwork as our surgical team worked carefully through scarring and inflamed tissue to create a bypass between the bile duct and the small intestine. The challenges were immense, but with every step, we felt guided by God’s grace and driven by our commitment to patient care.

Today, she is recovering well, and we are overjoyed to have been part of her healing journey. This milestone surgery would not have been possible without the expertise of our incredible team, the support of SHA, and the faith that carried us through.
