Phineas Gage.

He was working on a building site and a nearby explosion blew an iron bar through his skull.
He was taken by cart to a local hospital where the ends of the bar were cut off but the main part of the bar was left in place.
The bar miraculously missed all major structures and he carried on with his daily life.
However his friends noticed his demeanour had changed and he was now 'prone to acts of the grossest depravity' an early observation of what damage to the frontal lobes can cause.

Dear Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy, there is hope for improvement!
You might have heard that cerebral palsy has no cure, while that might sound like bad news, there is still hope for immense improvement.
How? You might ask. Through Neuroplasticity!
Neuroplasticity simply means the brain's ability to adapt and rewire itself so that functions affected by the brain damage can be reassigned to healthy areas of the brain.
If the brain damage causes your child to walk in an abnormal gait and he she has been doing so for years, then this habit would have been heavily embedded in the brain.
Generally, the longer a habit has been practiced, the more time and practice it will take to replace it.
You would need to help your child practice Generally, the longer a habit has been practiced, the more time and practice it will take to replace it.
You would need to help your child practice the new movement pattern enough that it becomes more instinctive than the old pattern and the best way to promote neuroplasticity is through task-specific repetition.
The task must be new to activate a new set of neural pathways) and challenging (to engage and motivate your child to perform lots of repetitions).
The more your child repeats this new and challenging task, the stronger the neural pathways get, and the more instinctive the behavior becomes.
Those new movement patterns will eventually get so heavily embedded into the brain that they'll replace the old ones.
So, if you want to change the way your child holds his/her cutleries, vou can, by teaching.

🔵🔹➖Rotator cuff tendinitis occurs when the tendons of the rotator cuff become irritated and inflamed. As the tendon is continually irritated, it can begin to break down, causing shoulder pain and swelling. Tendinitis can be caused by repetitive arm movements and overhead shoulder motions. Those that engage in occupations and sports that require significant overhead movement are at a higher risk of developing this condition, such as hairstylists, painters, baseball players, and swimmers.

💠Symptoms
Common symptoms of rotator cuff injuries include:

••Pain and swelling in the front of the shoulder and down the outside of the arm

••Pain when raising or lowering the arm

••Popping or clicking sound when the arm is moved

••A feeling of heaviness and weakness in the arm

••Inability to lift the arm or move it due to limited range of motion
