Swipe ➡️ Meet Palmarosa. A grass that smells like a rose. 🌹

It sounds like a riddle, but that’s exactly what Cymbopogon martinii is — a tall, feathery wild grass, cousin to lemongrass, that hides one of the most beautiful floral scents in the botanical world. Soft, rosy, green at the edges. Like rose with sunshine in it.

We grow it on the farm and distil it ourselves in our copper still. The grass is cut, then steamed slowly until the oil rises.

In skincare, palmarosa is quietly brilliant — hydrating, balancing, gentle enough for sensitive skin, and naturally antimicrobial. In aromatherapy, it’s the one that lifts you without lighting you up.

It’s been a busy year at Cinnabar Green.

We opened The Soap House, welcomed guests to the farm for tours, launched in London and Zambia, and started worldwide shipping. We also relaunched Organic Savanna, our sister brand, and continued building products rooted in quality, sustainability, and our Laikipia farm.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey - on the farm, in our stores, and around the world. Here’s to what’s next.
