Yesterday, we celebrated World Computer Literacy Day at JOOUST as part of the across regional university hubs.

I had the privilege to share my journey from training to internship and mentorship and present my capstone project:
“Predictive Machine Learning Model for Risk of Advanced HIV Disease among Patients Attending CCC.”

Events like this are amazing because they promote digital skills, showcase youth innovation, and inspire young women to pursue careers in tech and data.

A huge thank you to ENGAGE, Oyugi, Pharmaceuticals, and the University of Nairobi for empowering us to turn knowledge into impact!

🎨 Why Asking Is an Art — Not Just a Skill

In a world overflowing with noise, the right question is more valuable than the loudest answer.

Asking isn't just about getting what you want — it's a creative and strategic act. Like art, it requires intention, boldness, and humanity. Here's why:

🔥 Courage – It takes bravery to admit you need help or clarity. Asking opens doors, but it also makes us vulnerable.
🌪️ Confidence – The confidence to voice your needs is a reflection of your inner strength and self-worth.
🌊 Clarity – Asking cuts through the fog. It brings focus, understanding, and better direction.

Think of asking like mixing paint on a palette — each stroke adds dimension. Done right, it doesn’t just communicate a need — it builds connection, trust, and opportunity.

💬 So next time you're holding back a question, remember: you're not being a burden. You're being an artist.

This was me yesterday...deep in thought, calculator in hand, notebook filled with calculations...and yes, am still thinking about that math contest! it was an exciting, nervous and professional experience

When they said Project KE would challenge us, they meant it! From matrices to probability, calculus to linear motion, just but to mention a few,we were pushed out of our comfort zones and into problem-solving mode. It wasn’t just about getting the right answers; it was about sharpening our minds, building resilience, and remembering that growth begins where comfort ends.

I may not have aced every question, but I showed up, I tried and I’m still learning. That’s what is all about becoming the best version of yourself, even when the math gets tough!

Our Health Systems Management (HSM) feature is officially out! 🎬💚💛

What started as classroom theory is now a powerful story — captured through this short film to show what HSM really is: the backbone of any strong healthcare system.
I'm incredibly proud and humbled to be part of this project that amplifies the beauty, impact, and relevance of Health Systems Management in today's world.

💡As someone deeply passionate about HSM, this journey has shaped my purpose — and I’m just getting started!

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Maryjoy Kaimuri, Dean School of Nursing, for being not just a mentor, but a pillar in my professional growth. Your support and belief in us brought this vision to life. 🙏

Good morning and happy Monday!
We’re already on our toes—ready to make this week count! 💼✨

As we chase goals and face responsibilities, let’s also prioritize our mental health.

🧠 “You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.” – Dan Millman

Take a moment to check in with yourself today. Your well-being matters just as much as your productivity.

Ever had a Sunday that felt like a full-length sermon—just without the pews? 🤦🏽‍♀️

1️⃣ Snooze-gate: Alarm rang at 6 a.m. I whispered, “Five more minutes,” and boom—woke up at 10. Church service? Long gone.

2️⃣ Matatu mission: I shrugged, threw on a hoodie, and hopped into a Buruburu mat, determined to salvage the day with errands.

3️⃣ Plot twist: Somewhere between Afya Centre and Archives my phone vanished—pick-pocket ninjas 1, Me 0.
I checked my pockets again and again. Nothing. Panic started bubbling.

4️⃣ Then boom: The makanga taps my shoulder, already frowning:

> “Sista, leta fare haraka—hapa hatuchezi!”

For a moment, I blanked out—almost sure I’d be kicked out or embarrassed loudly in front of the entire mat.
Good thing I had Ksh 200 tucked deep in my side pocket.
Otherwise, I don’t even know what drama would’ve unfolded 😮‍💨

🧠 Lesson of the day?

Life is full of unexpected tests—some loud, some silent.

Communication is a skill. Shouting doesn’t solve everything.

Empathy is underrated. Everyone you meet is carrying something—seen or unseen.

📖 Scripture of the day:

> “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt…” – Colossians 4:6

So no, I didn’t make it to church—but God found me anyway, right there in a chaotic matatu, reminding me to stay grounded, calm, and kind.

Your turn:
What’s the most unexpected moment that taught you a life lesson on a normal day?

Let’s talk👇🏽

The day sleep won... or did it? 😅

You know it's Sunday when you finally decide “Today I’m going to church!”—only for your bed to become 10x more comfortable. The alarm rings, but somehow the devil must have placed a bet, because you sleep right through it like you're in a coma 😂.

By the time you wake up, church is over, and guilt starts creeping in. But then again…
God doesn’t operate on our schedules—He sees the heart. Whether in a sanctuary or on your bedside, worship is worship. 🙏🏽

So I turned my room into a prayer closet, played a sermon, read Psalms 100, and gave thanks.

> “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” – Psalm 100:4

Grateful for life, health, peace, and the quiet moments He still speaks through.
Happy Sunday, and remember God can be worshipped anywhere. ❤️
