During this period, the team will offer:

A greener future is a healthier future! 🌳
Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital staff joined the community in a tree planting exercise at Iria-iní Tree Nursery in Othaya Sub-County, ahead of the International Day of Forests marked on 21st March.
Working alongside students from Iria-iní Primary School, Othaya TVET and the Women Enterprise Fund, the team successfully planted over 2,000 trees, demonstrating a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development under the theme: Forests and Economics.
The activity was hosted by Sub-County Forest Officer- Ms.Hilda Kipkemei and the Senior Chief Iria-iní North- Mr. John Maina while our team was led by the Ag. HoD Administration - Mr. Kevin Barasa.

Today, Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital joins the world in marking World Kidney Day by hosting a free kidney screening camp at the hospital grounds in partnership grounds in partnership with Antony Gitonga - Antogito.
This initiative aims to raise awareness on kidney health, promote early detection of kidney disease and encourage the public to take proactive steps in protecting their kidney health.

Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital was honored to host a delegation from the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) led by Mr.Eliud Muriithi, Director Commercial Services. The team was warmly received by the hospital management team led by Dr.Yonah- Ag.Director Clinical Services (DCS).

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for engagement and collaboration on strengthening the supply chain for essential medical commodities and health products. Discussions focused on enhancing efficiency, improving access to quality medical supplies, and reinforcing the partnership between KEMSA and the hospital in support of effective service delivery.

We remain committed to working closely with key stakeholders to ensure reliable access to medical supplies, ultimately improving patient care and health outcomes for the communities we serve.

Heart Matters ♥️

For the 5th time, we are honored to host the Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS) for a specialized 3-Day Echocardiography camp taking place for 5th to 7th March.
The team led by Dr. Bernard Samia from KCS and Dr. Helen Nguchu- our Cardiologist, is accompanied by 40 trainees from Cohort 7 of Cardiovascular Care Workers, drawn from health facilities across the country.
Over the three days, about 90 patients from various clinics will benefit from Echocardiography (ECHO) services, with expert diagnosis and interpretation by cardiologists.
We appreciate the Kenya Cardiac Society for once again choosing Mwai Kibaki Referral Hospital as a training and service delivery site and thus helping in improving cardiovascular care in the region.
