What Every Farmer Needs to Know on Land Preparation for Pixie Farming

To prepare the land for pixie cultivation, you need to do proper plowing and leveling. If you are a resident of hilly areas, you can do terrace farming to cultivate pixies. Ensure to make proper drainage channels, as they are susceptible to waterlogging, so that the water does not stay for long.

To plant the sapling, you need to dig out square pits in the field. The dimensions of the pits should be 2ft by 2ft by 2ft. Proper spacing is necessary for the good growth of the trees. The ideal spacing is 4m by 4m, which you should use for each plant.

For proper nutrition for the plants, prepare the soil mixed with organic manure as well as fertilizers. In the first year of cropping, use NPK in the ratio of 150:50:25. Apart from these, you also have to use the foliar spraying method to provide the essential micronutrients (copper, iron, molybdenum, boron, and manganese) to the trees.

A soil test that has been taken and properly analyzed might be one of the best investments you make all year. The main benefit of a soil test is the ability to understand what is in your soil.
