Outspan Global University is committed to developing service-oriented professionals who will transform healthcare systems globally. The Outspan Medical College was established with a vision of becoming the college of choice in training of globally competitive medical professionals. Currently the college has a population of 1,000 students spread in various courses that we offer. It is set in a serene compound away from the interruptions of traffic and other urban activity. Transport to and from the college is provided. Students are served with accommodation, meals and beverages through a fully established catering unit. The Outspan Medical College is housed in a custom built complex whose architectural design and equipment are tested to absorb the future requirements of a highly demanding technological world. It is set in an expansive green compound away from the daily interruptions of an urban area. One of our core values is to ensure that we deliver quality and maintain the highest standards of training by doing the right things the right time all the time.

Led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Paul Mungai Mbugua, The DVC- Academics, Research & Student Affairs, Dr. Lydia Muthoni, The DVC- Finance, Infrastructure & Planning- David Macharia and the Registrar- Dr. Gerald Kiboi, the academic team was entrusted with the responsibility of steering the university toward excellence for the benefit of students and future healthcare professionals.

The inaugural meeting of the Outspan Global University (OGU) Council marked a historic milestone in the establishment of the University’s governance structures, signaling the formal transition into university operations.

A ceremonial toast was made in honor of:
God, in recognition of divine guidance and providence; The Sponsors, for their vision, commitment, and foundational support;
The University Planning Team, for their dedication and tireless efforts in bringing the institution to fruition; The Governance Organs, for their stewardship and leadership;
The Future Prosperity of Outspan Global University.

A symbolic handover ceremony was conducted, during which the Sponsor’s Representative formally shook hands with the Chair of the University Council, signifying the transition of governance authority and the commencement of Council oversight.

We were honored to host a NACOSTI-led assessment visit for the proposed Outspan Institutional Scientific and Ethics Review Committee, led by Ms. Charity Musembi, Principal Scientist at the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Outspan team, under the leadership of Dr. Christine Murungi, Chairperson of the proposed committee, engaged in this important process aimed at establishing a robust ethical and scientific review framework.

In collaboration with Outspan Global University’s Directorate of Research and Innovation, this initiative marks a pivotal step toward strengthening our institutional research capacity across all disciplines.
