I met Beril, a young girl about ten years old, in one of the hospitals in Oyugis. I was just passing by when I saw her lying sick on a couch. I asked the nurse who she was, and she told me that Beril was an orphan with no one to care for her or pay her medical bills. A moment later, my brother John also asked how she had reached the hospital. Her brother, a humble boda boda rider, arrived and said, “It is me who brought her.” And right there, we all agreed: she is now our daughter.
Sadly, only a few weeks later, Beril passed away.
Her story touched our hearts deeply. It inspired us to start organizing medical camps to help other vulnerable children in need. That was back in 2017. As the years passed, we saw an even greater need—not just for occasional camps but for a place where people could receive ongoing care. That is how Beril’s Medical Center was born, named in her memory.
Since then, by the grace and blessing of God, we have continued to serve communities through numerous medical outreaches in many counties, not only in Homa Bay. We are grateful for the support, prayers, and partnership of everyone who has walked with us on this journey. This work is not ours alone—it is God working through us.
If you wish to partner with us in this mission, you are most welcome.
