In hot yoga, we might focus on the physical (asana), but there's more to yoga! Patanjali's 8 limbs offer a roadmap to well-being:
1-2. *Yamas & Niyamas:* Ethical guidelines (like kindness) & self-discipline (like contentment) for living a good life.
3. *Asana:* The yoga postures we practice in hot yoga!
4. *Pranayama:* Breath control to connect body & mind.
These first 4 limbs build a foundation. The next ones lead inward:
5. *Pratyahara:* Withdrawing senses to focus within.
6. *Dharana:* Concentration, like holding your gaze on a point.
7. *Dhyana:* Meditation, a state of deep focus and stillness.
8. *Samadhi:* Enlightenment, a state of perfect union and bliss.
It's a journey, not a race! Each limb supports the others.
