St. Heidi - Kamariga Beach

Today at St. Heidi, I had a warm conversation with three siblings — Nyagere (in the red top), Loreen (the taller brother), and Shamy. They are part of a family of five children. Loreen and Shamy are already enrolled at St. Heidi, and little Nyagere will join in January 2026. They come from a low-income household and are a true testament to the school’s impact in providing quality learning, play facilities, and a consistent feeding program.

An ongoing women’s empowerment meeting is underway at St. Heidi, focusing on the challenges they face and the solutions available

As a follow-up to one of the resolutions made during the closing day, several parents and guardians—both from St. Heidi School and the wider community—came together to formalize a women’s grassroots empowerment group. The meeting focused on the many challenges women face in their pursuit of economic empowerment.

The meeting also aimed to develop a clear roadmap for addressing these challenges, including formalizing the women’s group and setting concrete actions that will empower its members.

Meanwhile, a few children continue to visit the school daily to play, feed and to enjoy the safe environment it provides during the daytime.

It was a day full of pomp and splendor, made even more special by Heidi's gracious presence. What an awesome day it was — celebrating the very first 15 graduates from St. Heidi, a truly remarkable milestone. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible and continues to support this wonderful journey!

Didn’t I mention we had an amazing time at St. Heidi – Kamariga Beach’s first-ever graduation? 🎉 What a joyful celebration and a remarkable milestone! We’re deeply grateful to everyone who made this success possible. Today, St. Heidi proudly sent forth 15 graduates who have successfully completed their PP2 class. A day of great fun and blessings — truly a testimony of God’s grace!
