Tribute to the Late Nancy Kemunto Ratemo
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nancy Kemunto Ratemo, a committed and selfless civil servant whose work in the health sector left an indelible mark on those she served and worked alongside.
Nancy began her journey in public health service in 2014 at Kenyenya in Kisii County, where she quickly became known for her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care and service delivery. Her passion for healthcare led her to Kiambu County Government-Kenya, where she served at Thika Level 5 Hospital as the Deputy Health Administrator, a role in which she demonstrated exemplary leadership and efficiency.
She later continued her service at Wangige Level 4 and Gachororo Level 4 Hospital, where her dedication, humility, and warm spirit touched the lives of staff, patients, and community members alike. Nancy was more than a colleague, she was a mentor, a friend, and a pillar of strength within the facilities she served.
Her sudden departure is a profound loss to the health fraternity and to the people she served with such grace and commitment. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life well lived in service of others.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of compassion, service, and integrity continue to inspire us all.
