Merging the Generational Gap.
As a nation we are in a crisis of generational gaps that were either partially filled or were never filled at all!
It's our mandate, our responsibility to work out this.
Going through Deuteronomy 11:1 onwards, God had a word for the Israelites which is our word at the moment in the land of Kenya.
It states - verse 1 Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees his laws and his command always. Remember today that your children were not the ones who saw and experienced the discipline of the Lord your God: his Majesty his mighty hand, his outstretched arm the signs he performed and the things he did in the heart of Egypt both Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his whole country what he did to the Egyptian army to it's horses and chariots, how he overwhelmed them with the waters of the red sea as they were perusing you and how the Lord brought lasting ruin to them. It was not your children who saw what he did for you in the wilderness until you arrived at this place and what he did to Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab and rebuenite where the earth opened it's mouth right in the middle of Israel and swallowed them up with their households, their tents and every living thing that belonged to him. But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the Lord has done.
Verse 18-21
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds, tie them as Symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road when you lie down and when you get up.
Key point.
1. We have to identify where we lost the game, from the family point (parenting)
2. How the gap stands in the spirituality of the different generations. Did we train them the process that requires some patience and patience requires discipline.
3. What has the leaders displayed to these generations? Remember learning happens in many ways 1) Hearing, seeing, reading, and finally role modelling or displaying the outcomes.
4. It's a wake up call. Killing may not solve a generation gap neither can the threats do. One major thing is accepting and acknowledging where the mess is.
5. Connect, reconnect and address what is ailing as for God's healing.
God bless you.
