Kwanpud KENYA staunchly believes the issues of people who use drugs [PWUD] are beyond treatment and harm reduction programme. Social reintegration and destiny connection is the spirit of PWUD growth.

Early today through support of The Kwale Department Of Social Services & Talent Management [SSTM] County Executive Committee Member [CECM] Hon. Francisca Kilonzo, convened a meeting with PWUD who are Diani Beach Operators together with CECM for Kwale Department Of Tourism and Trade Hon. Michael Mutua and Director for SSTM. We held a very candid and open conversation concerning the economic development and how to manage the environment for the PWUD community to hustle without tussle.

The two departments pledged their support in seeing the bright future of our community. We really appreciate the leadership of H.E. Fatuma Achani- Governor Kwale County for constituting an Executive Committee that is ready to listen and engage with the community.

We remain committed to ensuring our members access all avenues of growth and prosperity. Much appreciation for UHAI EASHRI funding.

Kwanpud KENYA interacted with Nicky Gitonga the Director of Communications in the Office of H.E. Fatuma Achani- Governor Kwale County in screening and articulating the achievements the County has made. Particularly in the areas of Medically Assisted Therapy [MAT] flagged by the Kwale County Government- Department Of Health at Kombani MAT Clinic and Kombani Rehabilitation Centre under Kwale Department Of Social Services & Talent Management.

Thereafter we also got an opportunity to visit the Leader of Majority for Kwale County Assembly Hon. Hanifa Mwajirani who's also the founder of Hanifa Mwajirani Foundation. Kwale County Government leadership earn pride of having women in leadership amidst the male chauvinist society. This is visibly from the executive to the legislative platform. KwaNPUD KENYA takes advantage of this to motivate women who use drugs [WUD] to seek mentorship from the female leadership within our great County of Kwale.

We remain committed to link our community to different platforms of growth.

Early this week our team conducted a visit in the nearest hotspot with the aim of landscaping the structural barriers face by the community of people who use drugs [PWUD]. The team addressed the most problematic disaster and barrier to social growth of PWUD which is lack of lose of Kenyan identity card. This elicited an advocacy opportunity to visit the office of the Assistant County Commissioner [ACC] in Msambweni Sub-County of Kwale County, Kenya.

Today Kwanpud KENYA had an engagement with the ACC Mr Daniel Iberi. The seating was negotiated on the corridor of registration of person's towards the PWUDs community who have lost their Kenyan identity cards and those who have not registered as Kenyan citizens as articulated in Article 12, clause (1) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya promulgated in 2010.

The exercise is meant to commence immediately after the Presidential directive to register Pemba community as Kenyans. In attendance we were accompanied by Assistant Chief Mr Suleiman Yusuf. We remain grateful to the office of the ACC and support pledged to support our community.

Later on we were joined by the the Chairperson of GFC ground Mr Hamisi Digodziru to get the feedback from the ACC office and disseminate it to the expectant community members.

We remain committed to serve and support the peer to peer led approach to solve our own issues with high level decorum.
