I have had so many conversations recently with families desperate to find childcare and there seems to be more and more posts popping up on the ‘spotted pages’ from parents who don’t know where else to look.

Handing over your post precious thing to a stranger requires so much trust and lots of people I’ve spoken to are finding it really upsetting and stressful at the moment. Childcare spaces are in short supply and many are feeling the pressure to grab what they can rather than choosing a setting based on how they feel it would suit their family.

With this in mind, I thought I’d try to help match settings and families with a post… so if you’re looking for Ofsted registered childcare… or offering it… please drop a comment below ⬇️

A reminder to always check credentials…

⭐️ settings (including childminders)should be Ofsted registered - you can view this on the gov.com website
⭐️ staff should be qualified and fully DBS checked
⭐️ not all settings will accept government funding

📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

For the last 2 years I’ve been invited to be a part of Ipplepen Carnival Week and we’ve had so much fun crafting and raving away with All Systems Glow… but this year… we’re shaking things up a bit!

I’m super excited to be collaborating with Rhys from for an extra special NEON ROCK PARTY! 🎸 🤘🏽

📆 Tuesday 5th August
🕙 10am and 3pm
📍 Ipplepen Village Hall
💰 £7 a ticket

🤘🏽 ✨ NEON ROCK PARTY!!✨ 🤘🏽

An awesome UV crafty rock party for children aged 4-12 years.

We’ll start session in normal lighting, with a range of merch-making and rock star activities that children are free to explore;

✨UV band tshirt making (get thinking on your band name!)
✨Band pin badges that glow!
✨UV face and body painting station (for children to decorate themselves!)
✨UV tattoos
✨Neon gig wristbands
And more!

We’ll then join Rhys from Baby Rockers for an epic live UV interactive music session with songs, classic stories and games, all reimagined around your favourite rock songs!

Inflatable guitars, microphones, glow sticks, bubbles included (although, probably no stage diving!! 🤣).

Wearing white or neon is encouraged to get the best UV effect!!!

Quick, come and sign up to the new terms whilst spaces last. There will be spaces in previously fully booked classes due to Mamas and Dads returning to work AND moving on to.....Signing Toddlers!!

New class launches......

in Newton Abbot due to demand. There will be a 2.30pm class as well as the previously fully booked 1.30pm class!!

At Newcourt Community Centre in Exeter (near Ikea) there will be a BRAND NEW Signing Toddlers class starting. Places limited to 10 with already 5/6 graduating into this class, book now to avoid disappointment!

Coming up: Summer Specials- 2x weeks of fun classes with summer themes. Week commencing 8th August in all locations.

Autumn Term- course of themed classes. Choice to join for full or half term in all locations.

Christmas Mini Sessions - yes, I know it's summer, but the dates have just been released on my booking system and I'm getting enquiries about them already!

In the lead up to Christmas, I will be holding my regular monthly mini sessions at The Mothership Family Hub on the following dates:

Saturday 25th October
Saturday 39th November
Saturday 6th December
(pics will be ready in time for Xmas)

I'll also be running a couple of extra sessions on:
Friday 21st Nov
Friday 28th Nov

The sessions are like my usual Mothership Mini Sessions, done on a plain white backdrop.

The reason for this is because I feel it’s important to have images you can use ALL year round, and a simple white backdrop means we can get a good variety in the short 20 minutes that we’ve got to play with, so we don’t just do Christmas pics, but regular family pics, all in the same session.

You are very much encouraged to come along with Christmas accessories (and I have baby sizes Santa hats too!). I feel it’s better to get a mix of regular images and Xmassy ones, so you get the best of both worlds. So please do bring along an Xmas jumper to pop on for a few pictures if you want to (but be sure to wear something underneath so a few pics too). You can see some examples from previous year’s minis in this post.

These sessions always sell out every year as everyone loves to update their photos each year and use them as Christmas gifts for the grandparents. So please book early to avoid disappointment.

Once they are gone, they are gone!
