The National Chair Mr. Elkanah Mwinami then took time to introduce the National Executive Committee (NEC) Members present to the Chief Guest, County Officials, the International Guests, Partners and invited Delegates saying that he takes great pride and enthusiasm working with the team.

He appreciated each member noting that they brought a wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to the Association's shared vision. Together, we have managed to serve, support, and lead the Association towards a brighter future since inception in 2021.

As we walk towards the election at the tail end of the Conference let the elected work collaboratively and harness our collective strength for the benefit of all. Thank you for your trust and support. He said as he ended his statement.

Our International guests led by Dr. Edith Churchman, PhD - Chair of International Relations for NFDMA had the privilege of introducing her team from South Africa to the Chief Guest, the team comprised of Dr. Boikanyo District 12 Governor - NFDMA, Mojalefa Phoofolo - MPFH - R.S.A and Gift Mapanyane - SFG, South Africa.

Dr. Churchman delivered her promise of gifting the Association with a laptop which she handed over to the National Chairperson signifying our continued and mutual support, on behalf of the entire mortuary practitioners in Kenya receive our thank you daktari.

Representing Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Education Institutions & Hospital Workers Secretary General Bro. Albert Obed Njeru, Sis. Mercy Nyakio - Industrial Relation Officer and Administrator reaffirmed the Unions commitment to advancing decent work, ethics and professional standards for mortuary practitioners in the Country towards a future where science and eithcs walk hand in hand to strengthen Kenya's mortuary profession.

The host pathologist from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Dr. Kibet Keitany who doubles up as a pathology trainer at MTRH - College of Medicine officially welcomed delegates to the County of champions assuring all of them of their security and during their stay in Eldoret City asking them to make a visit in town and other places before leaving.

Mortuary Practitioners make Declaration of Faith and Conviction before the Lord and Humanity.

‘’I declare that I am called to a scared ministry, I declare that my work is not in vain for God sees and God rewards.

I declare that truth shall guide me, compassion shall cloth me and ethics shall anchor me, I declare that every case, in every family, in every moment, the image of God will be hounded.

I declare that I shall serve with balance neither too much pride to forget God nor too little integrity to dishonour His name.

I declare that this 4th conference is covered with Gods will and wisdom, filled with God’s presence and fruitful for the future, in the name of God the Father, Son and of the Holly Sprit, Amen.’’

As a profession we were all asked to seek wisdom, live with balance, serve with dignity, work with all our might and remember that our labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Forensic Science without ethics is a logos, Ethics without forensic truth is weakness but science and eithcs integrated together with faith and wisdom is the highest gift of God.

Indeed we were blessed.

Delegates receiving official opening prayers form Rev. Fr. Kennedy N. Muriithi the Morticians Chaplin from ACK St. Philips Thiboro.

The word of encouragement was drawn from the book of Proverbs 30: 7-9 under the subject '' A balanced life neither too much nor too little."

Rev. Fr. Ken left the delegates with this note "As morticians your field is anchored in truth, forensic science must revel the truth, ethics must protect truth while spirituality must own the truth" this comes from this year's theme"Integrating Forensic Science & Ethics in Advancement of Standard Mortuary Practice."
