💔 Myocardial Infarction ECG Patterns

1. Ischemia (Early warning)
• 🔻 T wave inversion (within 24 h)
• Blood flow ↓ but muscle not dead yet.

2. Injury (Ongoing attack)
• ⚡ ST elevation (within minutes of pain onset)
• Active damage — emergency stage!
➡️ “ST ↑ = Still Time to save Tissue”

3. Acute Infarction
• 🕒 Pathologic Q wave (≥ 0.03 s or ⅓ QRS height; forms ~1 h)
• Myocardial cells start dying.

4. Old Infarction
• 💀 Q wave persists forever, ST segment normalizes
• Scar tissue remains — past MI.

5. Reciprocal ST Depression
• ↩️ ST depression in opposite leads
• “Mirror image” of injury zone.

6. Non-Q-Wave Infarction (NSTEMI)
• 📉 ST depression or T-wave inversion in ≥ 2 contiguous leads
• No Q wave forms.

⚠️ Key Note

🕑 Time = Muscle
Each minute of delay → 1 % myocardium lost.
✅ Early reperfusion saves heart tissue!
