πŸ’” Myocardial Infarction ECG Patterns

1. Ischemia (Early warning)
β€’ πŸ”» T wave inversion (within 24 h)
β€’ Blood flow ↓ but muscle not dead yet.

2. Injury (Ongoing attack)
β€’ ⚑ ST elevation (within minutes of pain onset)
β€’ Active damage β€” emergency stage!
➑️ β€œST ↑ = Still Time to save Tissue”

3. Acute Infarction
β€’ πŸ•’ Pathologic Q wave (β‰₯ 0.03 s or β…“ QRS height; forms ~1 h)
β€’ Myocardial cells start dying.

4. Old Infarction
β€’ πŸ’€ Q wave persists forever, ST segment normalizes
β€’ Scar tissue remains β€” past MI.

5. Reciprocal ST Depression
β€’ ↩️ ST depression in opposite leads
β€’ β€œMirror image” of injury zone.

6. Non-Q-Wave Infarction (NSTEMI)
β€’ πŸ“‰ ST depression or T-wave inversion in β‰₯ 2 contiguous leads
β€’ No Q wave forms.

⚠️ Key Note

πŸ•‘ Time = Muscle
Each minute of delay β†’ 1 % myocardium lost.
βœ… Early reperfusion saves heart tissue!
