FLD helps farmers improve productivity, commercialize vegetable products, and enhance food security. FLD also focuses on community development, including hygiene, sanitation, and vocational training.

Monitor the constructed compost house in Moung Reussei district under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project. The homemade compost, made from farming debris, straw, cow manure, and other resources, has been applied to commercial vegetable farms in the targeted areas. The compost provides numerous benefits to farmers, such as reducing their reliance on chemical fertilizers, lowering production costs, and increasing on-farm income. We thank the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam for providing funding support to the Farmer Livelihood Development Organization through OXFAM in Cambodia.

It is a great opportunity to engage with the Commune Council for Disaster Management (CCDM) of Kea, Borbos Meangkul, and Praek Chik communes in Moung Reussei and Rukhakiri districts, Battambang province. The discussion focused on the successes and challenges of implementing trained techniques in the Vulnerability Reduction Assessment and Mainstreaming Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion. This activity is part of the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project.

Monitor the solar water pump that was installed for a model farmer in Moung Reussei district under the Climate Resilience for All (CREFA) project. Farmer Livelihood Development Organization received funding support from the Embassy of Ireland to Vietnam through Oxfam in Cambodia to implement climate-smart agricultural activities in Kea, Rorbos Mongkul, and Praek Chik communes of Moung Reussei and Rukhakiri districts, Battambang province. The solar pump brings huge economic benefits through power regeneration.

Farmer Livelihood Development Organization (FLD), with funding support from Caritas Australia, organized an open defecation-free (ODF) celebration on June 13, 2024, at O village, Boeung Bat Kandaol commune, Bakan district, Pursat province. Five targeted villages (O, Bat Trach, Reussey Taman, Samrong, and Samaki villages) received ODF certification. This event was presided over by Mr. Phay Leng, Bakand district governor of Bakan district, and attended by villagers, commune councillors, police officers, primary school principals, and representatives of the Provincial Department of Rural Development.
