JAYAVARMAN VII Hospital concludes its mission with Mrs. Christine Zwygart.
JAYAVARMAN VII Hospital had the honor of a seven-day mission (from August 23, 2025, to August 29, 2025) with Mrs. Christine Zwygart. As a member of the Kantha Bopha Swiss Foundation, representing its president, Dr. Philip Robinson, she led a team of Swiss National Television. The team produced a documentary for Kantha Bopha Hospital to promote and raise funds in Switzerland as part of a campaign to support the operations of the Kantha Bopha hospitals in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

ទារកតូច និងខ្ចីបំផុត សម្រាលដោយមិនគ្រប់ខែ នៅអាយុគភ៌ត្រឹមតែ27សប្តាហ៍ និងទម្ងន់តែ900ក្រាមប៉ុណ្ណោះ ត្រូវបានសង្គ្រោះ និងដាក់ឲសម្រាកព្យាបាល ថែទាំ នៅផ្នែកសង្គ្រោះទារក (NICU) នៃមន្ទីរពេទ្យជ័យវរ្ម័នទី 7 ខេត្តសៀមរាប សរុបចំនួន45ថ្ងៃ។

ទារករូបនេះ បានសម្រាលតាមផ្លូវធម្មជាតិ ពីម្តាយអាយុ 27ឆ្នាំ ហើយត្រូវបានដាក់អោយសម្រាកព្យាបាល ក្នុងប្រអប់កម្តៅ និងសំណើម (Incubator) ចំនួន40ថ្ងៃ ព្រមទាំងទទួលជំនួយដង្ហើមដោយពីម៉ាស៊ីន (CPAP) សរុប 31ថ្ងៃ នៅសាលសង្គ្រោះទារកបន្ទាន់ទារក (NICU)។

សូមអរគុណដល់ក្រុមវេជ្ជបណ្ឌិតឯកទេស និងគិលានុបដ្ឋាក ដែលបានមើលថែទាំដោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ ព្រមទាំងបានណាត់តាមដានសុខភាពទារកជាបន្តបន្ទាប់ និងរកឃើញថា ទារកមានសុខភាពល្អ លូតលាស់ប្រក្រតី។
បច្ចុប្បន្ន កុមារីមានអាយុ2ឆ្នាំ8ខែហើយ។

The smallest and most fragile baby, born prematurely at only 27 weeks of gestation and weighing just 900 grams, was rescued and hospitalized for treatment and care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Jayavarman VII Hospital in Siem Reap Province for a total of 45 days.

This baby was delivered naturally by a 27-year-old mother and was placed in an incubator with controlled heat and humidity for 40 days, as well as supported with breathing assistance through CPAP machine for a total of 31 days in the NICU.

Thanks to the dedicated team of specialist doctors and nurses who provided attentive care, as well as regular health follow-ups, it was found that the baby is now healthy, growing and developing perfectly.
At present, the little girl is already 2 years and 8 months old.

Daily Activities of Nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Postpartum Buildings and Mid- wives in delivery rooms of JAYAVARMAN VII Hospital Kantha Bopha Siem Reap, Educating Postpartum Women on:
* How to breastfeed exclusively with breast milk.
* The importance of breast milk, especially the first breast milk (colostrum), and nutrition.
* Teaching mothers about importance of skin-to-skin contact with the baby (Kangaroo Mother Care).
On average, nurses and mid-wives educate and teach 50 to 70 postpartum women daily, including those in the delivery room, postpartum building and the neonatal intensive care unit.
