On April 21st, 2021 Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center and the Embassy of Denmark in Korea signed an MOU for cooperation on smart hospital and health tech development.
Dongsan Hospital looks forward to future cooperation with the Danish health professionals for the improvement of healthcare in both countries.

“BTS member SUGA donates 100 million won to Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital for the treatment of childhood cancer patients.”
On March 9th, in commemoration of his birthday, BTS member SUGA(real name Min Yoon-gi) donated 100 million won to Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital to support childhood cancer patients. SUGA said, “I hope that this donation will help the children, who are unable to receive treatment due to difficult family conditions, to grow up to be bright and healthy.”
Dr. Chi-heum Cho, the director of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, said, “I am very grateful for the donation of Mr. Yoon Ki and look forward to the spread of this good influence throughout our society.”

“방탄소년단 슈가, 계명대학교 동산병원에 소아암 환자 치료비 1억원 기부”

지난 9일 그룹 방탄소년단 멤버 슈가(본명 민윤기)가 생일을 기념하여 소아암 환자 치료에 사용해 달라며 계명대학교 동산병원에 1억원을 기부했습니다.

슈가는 “어려운 가정 형편으로 인해 치료를 받지 못하는 어린이들이 건강하고 밝게 자랄 수 있도록 하는데 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 기부금을 전달했다”고 전했습니다.

조치흠 계명대학교 동산병원장은“윤기 씨의 기부가 감동적이고, 대단히 감사하다. 이러한 선한 영향력이 사회 전반에 널리 퍼져나가길 기대한다”라고 말했습니다.

The annual quality assessment conducted by MOHW carries out a comprehensive evaluation of 6 categories, including

A total of 344 tertiary level general hospitals and general hospitals nationwide was evaluated, and only the top 10% are given the honor of the "First Grade" rating.
Receiving a "First Grade" rating in all six categories, Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital's outstanding healthcare service is recognized with the added title as the only university hospital in Daegu to receive a "First Grade" rating for four consecutive years.

On August 11th, Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital, which operated as a designated infectious disease(COVID-19) hospital from February 21st to June 15th, had the honor and privilege of welcoming H.E. Eric Teo, the Ambassador of Republic of Singapore to Korea.

Ambassador Eric Teo expressed his gratitude to the entire medical staff at Daegu Dongsan Hospital as well as all the medical workers around the globe who are fighting off COVID-19. The leadership of Keimyung University and the Ambassador both agreed on the importance of international cooperation and exchanged mutual desire to establish a cooperative relationship between KMU Daegu Dongsan Hospital and the Republic of Singapore in the field of medical science through joint research, exchange of academic and human resource and more.

The Ambassador also presented 200 bags of Singaporean products as a token of gratitude to the medical staff.
