👁️ Have you ever noticed a small dot on the white part of your eye?
This could be a conjunctival nevus—a benign (non-cancerous) pigmented spot on the conjunctiva, the clear membrane covering the white of the eye.
A conjunctival nevus is usually congenital (present from birth) or develops due to pigment accumulation. In most cases, it’s harmless and only needs regular monitoring. However, if the color darkens, the shape changes, or if it begins to grow, it’s important to have it thoroughly examined by an eye specialist to rule out any serious conditions.
👩⚕️ Recently, we've seen an increase in people visiting our clinic after comparing their eye moles to old photos of celebrities like Suzy, saying things like, "The mole on my eye has disappeared."
For those concerned about appearance or potential risk, conjunctival nevi can be surgically removed.
