- What causes hair loss in men?
Most of the causes of male pattern baldness are thought to be related to genetics and male hormones. However, the main cause of hair loss in men is still not completely clear.
Some possible causes of male hair loss include:
After surgery or medical treatment: Hair loss can occur after you have surgery, or treatment for certain diseases. However, this phenomenon is completely normal, so don't worry too much, the hair will grow back after a certain time.
Side effects of drugs: There are some drugs that cause hair loss when treating such as antidepressants, anticoagulants, cancer treatment... Hair will grow back after stopping the drug.
Hormonal Imbalance: An imbalance between dihydrotestosterone and Testosterone is the cause of hair loss. At the hair root, dihydrotestosterone binds to special receptors of hair follicle cells, causing hair follicles to shrink and disappear, hairs are easy to fall out, in addition, it also stimulates overactive sebaceous glands, making hair roots weak. Hair is easily shed from the scalp. In middle-aged men, the decrease in testosterone production in the body causes more hair loss, even hair loss.
Thyroid disease: Hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism both cause hair loss.
Psychological factors: Men are often under a lot of pressure from work, so it is easy to lead to prolonged stress and tension. However, if it can be fixed, the hair loss will disappear.
Some diseases cause hair loss in men: Autoimmune diseases, scalp infections, diabetes...
Diet and nutrition: Diet that does not provide enough nutrition for hair growth also affects hair health, making hair weak and easy to fall out.
