[Dr. Park Writes a Chapter in Global Textbook on Pe**le Implants]

Dr. Park contributed as a writer to the newly published textbook Complications of Urologic Prosthesis in Male Lower Genitourinary Reconstruction (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-92632-7 -information), which focuses on urologic prosthesis. Springer, who published this textbook, ranks as one of the world’s most prestigious academic publishers. They also maintain a close affiliation with Nature, one of the leading multidisciplinary scientific journals

The textbook presents surgical techniques, potential complications and management strategies for pe**le implant procedures, including inflatable pe**le prosthesis. The publishers released the work as both a hardcover textbook and an accompanying surgical video series (A Surgical Video Atlas). Dr. Park served as the 1st author of the chapter on inflatable pe**le prosthesis by subcoronal approach: Part II. Pe**le Prosthesis – Chapter 11. [Dr. Park Joined as a Proctor to SUPS/SMSNA Pe**le Implant Cadaver Lab]

On October 10th, the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS) and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) jointly hosted a cadaver lab focused on inflatable pe**le implants and artificial urinary sphincters

SUPS holds this annual surgical lab to provide hands-on education & training in urologic implant surgical techniques, primarily for urology residents and clinical fellows in the US. Dr. Park joined as one of the surgical demonstrators, and he led one cadaver lab session for inflatable pe**le prosthesis training

South Korea ranks 2nd worldwide in annual inflatable pe**le implant procedures, performing more surgeries than any other country outside the United States. Dr. Park will continue his research and educational efforts to further establish South Korea as a leader in the field of prosthetic urology in the Asia Pacific

[Dr. Park Lectures on Inflatable Pe**le Prosthesis in Out-Patient Setting at SMSNA]

The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) held its annual meeting from October 9th to 12th in Grapevine, Texas. SMSNA leads the field of sexual medicine internationally and is especially recognized for its leadership in pe**le implant surgeries

The SMSNA invited Dr. Park to present lectures on inflatable pe**le prosthesis in out-patient setting and join as a panel for ge***al cosmetics discussion, especially about pe**le fillers. The organizers selected his lecture on inflatable pe**le surgery for the instructional course that required separate registration and Dr. Sevann Helo, Professor of Urology at the Mayo Clinic, chaired this session. Dr. Helo previously visited South Korea in last April to participate in the KSSMA (Korean Society for Sexual Medicine and Andrology) inflatable pe**le prosthesis cadaver lab. During her visit, she got to know about Dr. Park's out-patient pe**le implant management which is quite different from the US

In the United States, pe**le implant is managed in a surgery center or in-patient manner. However, Dr. Park manages his pe**le implant patient with out-patient setting which could give an insight to US colleagues in terms of efficacy, efficiency and patient's accessibility. Also there is a growing interest in ge***al cosmetics & phalloplasty in US has also fueled debate surrounding these procedures. As a result, experts increasingly discuss the benefits and limitations of various techniques, including fillers and silicone implants. SMSNA’s invitation to Dr. Park for the panel reflects this ongoing trend
