The truth about tracking is that it's stressful for a lot of people. Logging calories and micromanaging micronutrients can be overwhelming and sometimes depressing.

Instead of arbitrarily hitting numbers, if you can train yourself to become aware of how you feel after eating and use your tracking app to hypothesize which foods are causing those sensations, a food tracking app can be the most significant tool in your dietary toolbox.

Nobody wants to spend all day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning after a long day of work.
Here are my 5 hacks to minimize prep and cleanup time.

1. Salad Jars: Make a bunch on Sunday and eat through Thursday!

2. Pan Chan: Dozens of sides you pull out and put back in the fridge. No cleaning or prep until one runs out.

3. Kitchen scissors: Totally underrated. Ditch the cutting board and cut right into the pan.

4. One pot meals: Or pan, or wok, or baking sheet or whatever.

5. Freezer marinades: Make a bunch, freeze them, and defrost when you're in the mood.

I first had Joojeh kebabs in Qatar and fell in love immediately. This popular Persian meal is essentially chicken marinated in saffron, turmeric, onion, lemon juice, and (sometimes) yoghurt. They're so tasty and incredibly healthy as well. While normally served alongside Persian flatbread or basmati rice, I didn't have that available to me. Therefore, I tossed some potatoes in falafel seasoning and roasted them in the airfrier, and made a fatoush salad for sides. Thus rounding out this nutrient dense dinner filled with lean protein, healthy carbs, and joint supporting spices.

Recipe to come soon.
